About

Sadia Saifuddin is a fifth year Social Welfare major originally from Stockton, California. Sadia currently serves as the UC Student Regent at the University of California. Sadia served as the Senator representing the Middle Eastern Muslim South Asian Coalition on UC Berkeley’s campus in 2013. Her passion for social justice is reflected in her work to bridge communities, fight Islamophobia and all types of discrimination, and in the creation of the UC Berkeley Food Pantry, which would service Cal students that struggle with financial issues with free food and personal hygiene items. Sadia hopes to develop a sustainable food security initiative by expanding the Food Pantry throughout the UC system. Sadia is a 2013 PPIA fellow at the Goldman School of Public Policy. In her free time, Sadia enjoys working out, making chocolate truffles, and napping on the beach.
